Qinghai prepares coking industry development plan
According to the reporter's understanding, the preliminary proven coal reserves in Qinghai Province are about 4 billion tons. According to the province's coal resources, Qinghai Province has initially formulated a coking master plan with an annual output of 12 million tons. Earlier, experts from the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute and members of the Office of the Leading Group for the Construction of the Coking Project in Qinghai Province visited the province’s main coal resources, Haixi Muli, Jiangcang, and Hadong Ledu Gaodian, to the province’s coking industry. Coking coal resources involved in development, project site selection, environmental impact, railway transportation, construction water use, land use, power supply and other construction conditions were investigated on site.
Because chemical coke products are related to the expansion and extension of salt lake resource development to the chlor-alkali industry, the experts further clarified that the development coking project in Qinghai must follow the principle of “chemical coke and metallurgical cokeâ€. In the first half of this year, the Office of the Leading Group for the Construction of the Coking Project in Qinghai Province has officially entrusted the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute with the preparation of the “Coking Coking Industry Development Plan of Qinghai Provinceâ€. The preparation of the “plan†will have far-reaching significance for the sustainable development of coal resources in Qinghai, the extension of the coal chemical industry chain, and the construction of the Qaidam circular economy pilot zone.
