The powder type equipment selection manual integrating theories, examples and applications—“Super Fine Crushing Engineering†was recently published by the China Building Material Industry Press and was issued to the whole country.
At present, the annual output of various types of ultra-fine powder products in China has reached several million tons, and it is still growing at an annual rate of about 10%. In ultra-fine grinding technology, equipment occupies an extremely important position. After more than ten years of development, China has formed a number of ultrafine crushing equipment and fine grading equipment manufacturers with a certain scale and high technological level and possessing some independent intellectual property rights. However, in the published books on ultra-fine powder processing, there are few systematic introductions to domestic ultrafine grinding and fine grading equipment and their monographs applied in engineering. The publication of the "ultra-fine crushing project" fills this gap. The book is headed by Professor Zheng Shuilin, a famous expert in China's powder industry, and can be used as a reference for engineering and technical personnel engaged in powder engineering or powder technology as well as related professionals in mineral processing, chemicals, machinery, metallurgy, building materials, light industry, and environmental protection.

PTFE belongs to the group of thermoplastics but cannot be processed using the standard techniques for thermo-plastics such as e.g. injection molding. The very high molecular weight results in a too high melt viscosity and allows PTFE to be processed only with the special press and sinter methods as used in the manufacture of sintered ceramics. PTFE powder is compressed under very high pressure followed by a sintering procedure in which the PTFE particles fuse together.
