Denso plans to invest 110 million U.S. dollars in Indonesia to build a new plant
According to Reuters, the Denso Group recently stated that in order to meet the growing demand in Indonesia's auto market, the company will invest in the construction of a new factory in the country.
The Denso Group has announced that it will invest 110 million U.S. dollars to build a new plant in West Java, Indonesia. It is expected that the plant will be put into operation in 2014 to produce engine control products and equipment such as starters .
Akio Shikamura, senior executive director of Thermal Systems Business Group, stated: "Indonesia is a fast-growing market in Asia. Through the expansion of production capacity, Denso will contribute to the country's economy in terms of investment and employment."
The Denso Group currently has two factories in Indonesia, namely the Sunter and Bekasi factories, which mainly produce automotive air conditioning systems, radiators, spark plugs, filters and other products.
