Main activated carbon adsorption equipment commonly used in heap leaching production

In domestic heap leaching production, commonly used activated carbon adsorption equipment mainly includes:
1. Open type adsorption tank The structure of the open type adsorption tank is shown in the figure below. Its use is expensive gold-containing solution inlet trough

The bottom of the tank enters the activated carbon bed through the distributor and then overflows from the upper part of the tank. There are two main methods for inputting the solution into the bottom of the tank. One is to feed the solution into the bottom of the tank through the conduit at the center of the tank, and the other is directly under the distribution tray through the infusion tube on the side wall. A carbon extractor for activated carbon is proposed from the tank. In the practice of heap leaching production, 4 to 5 tanks are commonly used in series, and the tanks are arranged in a stepwise manner. The carbon and solution flow in the opposite direction. The advantage of this device is that it is easy to check the amount of carbon and the degree of fluidization, and it is convenient for sampling and maintenance. The disadvantage is that the height difference is large, the capital construction cost is high, and it is not easy to manage.
2. Closed-type adsorption device The structure of the closed-capped adsorption tank is shown in the figure below. The device is characterized in that both the adsorption tank and the adsorption
system are sealed, and the flow of the solution flows from the bottom of each tank to the bottom of the distribution tray by the pressure of the pump, and then the solution is pushed out from the upper outlet of the tank by the pressure of the pump, and the activated carbon is used. Water pressure is added and output from the lower part.

Closed-capacity adsorption tanks are generally used in series 4, placed on a flat surface. The char solution flows in the opposite direction. Such facilities have low construction costs and good working conditions, but the internal maintenance of the tank is difficult, and attention should be paid to safe operation under pressure conditions.
3. Tower adsorption column The structure of the tower adsorption column is shown in the figure below. This type of adsorption column is a commonly used
form of small and medium-sized heap leaching in China , and is generally used in series from 3 to 5 in series. The noble liquid is input from the bottom of the first column by the pressure of the pump or the high liquid storage tank, passes through the carbon layer, and then the upper part of the adsorption injection is input to the lower part of the next adsorption column according to the original water pressure, and the lean liquid flows from the last direction of the flow. The upper part of the adsorption column is discharged, and the necessary chemical components are added to be recycled. The activated carbon is charged into the column at a time, and the activated carbon in the first adsorption column flowing into the noble liquid is first saturated. At this time, the column is removed from the adsorption system, the gold-loaded carbon is taken out, and the fresh activated carbon is charged and connected in series. To the last position of the adsorption system arranged along the flow direction of the solution, and the second adsorption column replaces the first position of the noble flow of the adsorption system, and the remaining adsorption columns are moved forward and replaced. Thus, the reverse flow of the solution and the activated carbon is formed to achieve the purpose of effectively utilizing the activated carbon and increasing the amount of gold supported and the adsorption rate.

This device is more flexible, requires less investment, and is simpler to operate and maintain.
The above adsorption equipment adopts the lower liquid inlet, so that the activated carbon in the (tank) column is suspended. If the liquid supply from the upper part will cause the suspended matter in the noble liquid to block the carbon bed, the adsorption is difficult to carry out the lower branch well. Since the precious liquid is not easily clarified in the heap leaching production, the activated carbon is often suspended in the field production. Adsorption method.
