Tektronix Haimont Copper-Molybdenum Ore Selection Plant

1 Introduction
Haimont is a Turck company located in the southern part of the Highland Valley of British Columbia, 6.4km north of Bethlehem and 3km northwest of Locks. In the 1930s, the deposit was discovered. In 1977, Toves Resources and Haymont Mining formed a new Haymont mining company. In 1979, the company Turk and Haymont merger by the West German metal company to buy 14-20% stake in infrastructure began in April 1979, the first series production in 1980, another series also completed in early 1981 .
The processing capacity of the plant is 22.7kt/d, with an annual output of 223kt of copper and 1800 to 2300t of molybdenum .
2. Deposits, ores and mining
The Haimont quartz porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit has seven mineralization zones on the west side of the east-west quartz porphyry vein. Among them, two have great economic value, the largest of which has ore l00Mt, the average grade is 0.26% Cu, 0.029% Mo. It is divided into east and west open pit mines. The other ore belt has higher molybdenum, ore reserves of 21 Mt, and the average grade is 0.25% Cu and 0.079% Mo.
The valuable metal minerals in the ore are chalcopyrite, porphyrite and molybdenite. There are a small amount of pyrite, but mostly in the ore zone outside. Open pit mining.
3. Mineral processing technology
The Haimont Plant is a large-scale plant selected in the 1980s, using large mills and advanced processes. One section of open circuit crushing (1 set of 1370×1880mm gyratory crusher , self-grinding-ball mill two-stage large mill grinding. Copper-key mixed flotation, copper-molybdenum sorting, molybdenum concentrate chlorination leaching (Blunda method) Process. Grinding and copper-molybdenum mixed flotation are divided into two series. The process is shown in Figure 1. Cu - Mo Separation: the two series of copper - molybdenum mixed concentrate were combined, concentrated, sodium hydrosulfide, sodium cyanide inhibiting copper minerals, coal oil collector molybdenite, once roughing, a sweeping election Ten selections. Chlorination leaching of molybdenum concentrate: In order to reduce the copper content of the flotation molybdenum concentrate, the Brenda method is used to immerse the flotation molybdenum concentrate (filter cake) with FeCI 3 and CaCl 2 .
4. Mineral processing index (design index)
The ore grade is 0.27% Cu and 0.029% Mo. The grinding fineness is 65%-200 mesh, and the ore processing capacity is 22.7 kt/d. The mixed concentrate grade was 30.0% Cu, 2.98% Mo, and the recovery rate was 90.41% Cu and 83.31% Mo. The copper concentrate grade is 31.5% Cu, 0.2% Mo, the copper recovery rate is 90.4%, and the yield is 20~23 kt/a (Cu). The molybdenum concentrate grade is 55.00% Mo, 0.10% Cu (after immersion), the molybdenum recovery rate is 74%, and the yield is 1.8~2.3 kt/a (Mo).
